Welcome to Rhodes Wood Hospital School
Rhodes Wood Hospital School is an integral part of the care and treatment programme facilitated within the hospital for young people with eating disorders. All young people admitted to the hospital attend this on site provision. Young people being cared for at our eating disorder service are able to continue to study subjects chosen at their home school or college.Head Teacher’s VisionAt Rhodes Wood Hospital School, we aim to minimise the interruption and disruption to our students whilst they are an inpatient at the hospital. A key part of their schooling is that we provide continuity between what they are studying at their home school and what they focus on here.We put students at the centre of our provision and everything we do is first and foremost in response to their individual needs. Staff at the school work hard to motivate and engage the young people in our care whilst also paying close attention to fostering positive relationships with them.Elysium’s core values have been used to shape our school and are embedded throughout the curriculum, procedures and enrichment activities. We firmly believe that everyone has the ability to succeed and help students to remove some of their current barriers to learning to help young people find their voice, realise their potential and form their future.Michelle Fennell-Bergin Head Teacher
