Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Our Enrichment programme is designed to support student well-being, help develop, transferable skills such as leadership and teamwork, give back to the school/local community, and increase employability. Students are also encouraged to run their clubs and societies. All students can use Wednesday afternoons and/or other allotted time within the week to enjoy one of the many enriching opportunities on offer, including: - Sports and fitness, including rugby, netball, football and badminton, Young Enterprise, Lesson Helper and Paired Reading Schemes, The Umbrella Society, Sports Leaders, Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), Drama productions, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Gardening Club Students must recognise that Post-16 education is about more than just the qualifications they achieve, and the Edgbarrow Sixth Form team will track and support all elements of a Study Programme. Operation Wallacea - we offer our students the opportunity to be part of a significant overseas expedition. No matter which exotic destination is chosen, this is a challenging and rewarding experience that helps to develop important life skills and knowledge of forest/wildlife conservation, reef systems and marine research. As well as being personally enriching, this experience is superb for the students’ CV or university application.
