Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
We offer a wide range of opportunities outside lessons, from additional qualifications such as Core Maths and the EPQ, sporting activities, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and many trips and visits. There are leadership opportunities and a range of visiting speakers.

Trips and visits
Students have had the opportunity to visit Universities and also apprenticeship and careers fairs, as well as more subject based trips.
Future leaders programme
We have developed a programme to support our most able students who may be interested in applying to Oxbridge, the Russell Group Universities and for medicine. We work with a range of external visitors and organisations who run workshops and mentoring schemes. This year we have been working closely with organisations such as In2MedSchool, Hertford College at the University of Oxford, Emmanuel College at the University of Cambridge, The London Interdisciplinary School and several of our recent alumni to develop a vibrant, engaging and relevant programme for our students.
Work experience
Students in the Sixth Form complete a week of work experience in July of Year 12.
Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) Level 3 Qualification
Students can choose to undertake an EPQ to add breadth to their study choices. An EPQ is equivalent to half an A-level and carries the equivalent UCAS points. It will help you develop a useful range of extra study skills, helping you prepare for the demands of university work. It is valued by higher education institutions as it demonstrates your dedication to independent learning and is often included in offers made to applicants. An EPQ is an exciting opportunity to study independently a topic that interests you and build a hypothesis or key question. You create a piece of writing and showcase what you have studied.
