Welcome to Harris Academy Wimbledon
HAWI6, as we are known for short, is an ambitious, academic, and scholarly sixth form. Our teachers are experts in their subjects and passionate about equipping students with the academic qualifications, wider skills, and experiences they need to succeed in their next steps.
Our sixth formers learn in a state-of-the-art building with modern facilities and resources. They are enthusiastic learners, and our teachers know how to support them to achieve the best possible grades. But we recognise that great academic results go hand-in-hand with a fun and stimulating enrichment programme. Our calendar is packed with performances, sports fixtures, speaker sessions, trips, clubs, and societies.
‘Making a difference’ is the ethos of Harris Academy Wimbledon, and ait carries right through into our sixth form. All of our students volunteer in the wider community, contributing their skills to benefit society. They are role models to younger students, and each term brings new opportunities for sixth formers to take on leadership roles and develop their confidence and responsibility.
Although our Sixth Form is still relatively young, we are already seeing fantastic outcomes. Our first cohort achieved outstanding results, with students progressing to top destinations including the University of Cambridge, the University of Warwick, Kings College London, and many more. Our rate of progression to Russell Group universities is already well above the national average.
We are proud to be part of the thriving and successful Harris Federation network of sixth forms, where students gain places at elite universities at more than twice the national rate. We also benefit from a close partnership with King’s College School Wimbledon, and our students are supported by a well-established programme of careers guidance and university application support.
Our Sixth Form is built on ambition — for our students, for their futures, and for the difference they will make. If you share that drive, then this is the place for you.

Enrichment Activities
Show all activitiesAt HAWI our students have the opportunity to take part in many educational visits We have a number of co-curricular visits that are outside of the curriculum, but inspire and motivate our students further, by giving them even more memorable experiences.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme is a life-changing experience. It is an opportunity to set personal challenges and push boundaries, developing children's independence and self-esteem. It is an internationally recognised mark of achievement and respected by colleges, universities and employers.
We know that many of our students have passionate views about their academy, their place within it, and indeed about the world beyond the academy. We want those passions to have a voice. We also know that many of our students have real leadership talents, and others are always looking for ways to develop their leadership skills. We want our students to believe, as we do, that democracy and the democratic process is the best way to get their voices heard, and their ideas put into action.
