Welcome to New Siblands School

Welcome to New Siblands School, where our vision of ‘Achievement, Belonging and Celebration’ is at the heart of everything we do.   We pride ourselves on creating a positive atmosphere in which all of our pupils feel valued.

Our staff team are highly skilled and committed to bringing out the best in each and every pupil, supporting them to become as independent as they can possibly be.  Learning is creative and engaging, encouraging pupils to explore different ideas and develop skills in a range of contexts.

We work in partnership with parents and carers, external professionals and the local community, taking a holistic approach to ensuring all aspects of our pupils’ learning and wellbeing are fully supported.

Most importantly, our pupils and their families tell us that they enjoy coming to school and love learning here.

We are so proud of our ‘Outstanding’ grade from Ofsted, which demonstrates our commitment to an educational experience of the highest quality for all pupils in our care.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
All Jigsaw lessons are delivered with the careful consideration of age, cognitive and physical development and emotional maturity, enabling teachers to meet each pupil’s individual needs. Inclusion and enrichment opportunities also contribute to SEMH education, as they provide safe spaces for pupils to apply and generalise their learning in a range of contexts.

Travel Training

Travel Training isn't just about using public transport. It is also about learners being safe and confident in their local community. A tiered approach will be adopted for each year group:

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Learners are able to work through each section during their time in Post 16. They also have the opportunity to make the award more personal by bringing in their outside interests and activities.

Preparing for work

We adopt a tiered approach to learning about work and employment, so that all learners can access meaningful activities. Some experiences are for groups of learners and some are individual. Experiences can be further differentiated by the level of support, which can be reduced as the learner develops confidence and builds their level of independence in their placement.
