FAQs

What qualification do students receive from the LSA course?

Students will receive a UAL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Creative Practice. The qualification will also specify the pathway, for example, 'UAL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Creative Practice (Craft)'

What kind of young people are you looking to join LSA?

London Screen Academy was set up with the mission to diversify the screen industries. As such, we are looking for interested young people who understand the value of this mission and want to uphold it in the work they do during their time at the college and beyond. The vision of LSA is to create stories that change the world and the students who show passion and excitement for storytelling will thrive at the school.

What should I write in my application?

We are looking for passion and love of stories, filmmaking and creativity! We don't expect you to have previous experience in any form of filmmaking, editing, VFX, costume design/making, hair/makeup... we just want to know that if you are offered a place at LSA, you will soak up every opportunity that comes your way. Show us that passion and we will be sure to offer you an interview!

What are the entry requirements?

Students need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades 4-9, or other Level 2 equivalents. LSA expects applicants to have achieved grades 4-9 in English, Maths or both. If you do not achieve a Grade 4 pass at GCSE in either English or Maths, we offer intensive support in preparation for retakes. You will not be able to enrol if you do not pass both English or Maths at GCSE.

I have lots of questions, where do I find the answers?

Email us! You can always send an email with any questions you might have, just get in touch with admissions@lsa.ac.uk. If you create an account on Applicaa to start your application, you will be invited to events and online sessions that will give you lots of opportunities to ask questions and find out more.

When do admissions open and close?

Our applications are NOW OPEN! We do not offer places on a first come first serve basis, however, we highly recommend applications are completed as soon as possible. The sooner an application is completed, the more opportunities to engage and learn about LSA there are!
