"Hartpury is a beautiful campus that offered me the option to continue studies in the fields that my job required as well as being offered the opportunity to be part of the outstanding rugby programme. I studied A-levels in Maths, Physics and Physical Education at Hartpury and enjoyed the mix of lab and classroom sessions. Hartpury helped me grow my independence and social skills as it introduced me from living away from home for the first time. I made incredible lifelong friendships and have the best memories."

Oliver studied A-levels in Maths, Physics and Physical Education at Hartpury. He is currently doing the generation EasyJet MPL programme which began with seven months of ground-school in Oxford. He's also got to practice flying a range of different aircrafts in Arizona, USA. He's about to begin the A320 ground-school, EasyJet’s main aircraft, before he is assigned his base in Europe.

Job Title

Guest Relations Officer

"I came to Hartpury to study A Levels and indulge in my passion for rugby – I always knew it was the best place for me to pursue my love of sport alongside my studies. Being on the AASE programme in women’s rugby gave me access to top quality coaching. After a visit with some of my teammates from Stow girls’ squad back in 2008, where we were lucky enough to attend a training session led by Graham Smith and Graham Rowntree, I knew this was the place for me.

Molly studied English Language at Hartpury and then decided to pursue a career in elephant conservation after finishing in India. I left Hartpury in 2014 after finishing my A Levels then I had an amazing experience working with elephants in India after I finished my studies. I know it's not the most obvious progression from the rugby AASE but elephant conservation is something I’ve always been passionate about and I was keen to pursue this interest upon leaving Hartpury. Now I am living and working in Nepal, which I came to via Thailand where I had sought out as much elephant related work experience as I could. Back at home I got to stretch my legs (albeit not on a rugby field) when I ran 15km through London dressed as an elephant. Then I decided to take the plunge and emigrate to Nepal to work at Tiger Tops Lodge where my role as a Guest Relations Officer lets me combine hospitality with educating myself and others about all things elephant.

Sports Performance

"I chose Hartpury because I've heard great things about it. I saw how well the sport interacts with the education and like the link between it. So that's what drew me to it. I’ve been focusing on achieving the best A-level grades I can, whilst also progressing my rugby within the academy. A-levels have helped me become very dedicated and focus on getting through to university. Being able to do rugby alongside it has been great. We won every match in the ACE league and we then played in the final and won that. So that was a great experience. You got a couple 100, maybe even a couple thousand watching so that was a great night and a great experience."

Louie studied A-levels at Hartpury whilst also progressing his rugby within the academy. Since graduating he has signed a three-year contract with Bath academy and will be studying a degree alongside this.
