Being a Sixth Form student isn’t all about being in a classroom.
Our students are involved in a wide range of activities and societies. We know Sixth Formers want to run their own lives and students are encouraged to start up their own activities, receiving support from members of the Sixth Form Team to do so. These range from bands and sports societies to cultural and study groups. Additionally the school also supports the following activities and events.
Student Council
Members of our Sixth Form Student Council play an active role in the running of their Sixth Form.
Duke of Edinburgh
Jesmond Park Academy Sixth Form students have the opportunity to complete the Gold level Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Sixth Form Mentoring Programme
Every year we invite our Sixth Form students to support students in lower school. They may help out in lessons once or twice a week or work with individual students who need extra support with their literacy.
