FAQs
Apply by logging into Applicaa One and completing the application form. All information about the application process can be found at www.beechencliff.org.uk/admissions/sixth-form-admissions/
Yes, you can join our waiting list. We will have Admissions Conversations with those who met the deadline first, and these applicants will receive the first offers. If there are spaces remaining then we will offer these to waiting list applicants who have met the entry requirements.
Offers are made based on entry requirements and your course preferences. We will offer places to students who meet the required grades, starting with those who have chosen the course as their first choice, then second choice, and so on. Some popular courses may be filled by students who selected them as their first choice, while smaller courses are usually able to offer places to everyone who is interested.
For A Levels you will need to attain five Grade 6s, including an 4 in Maths and English Language. For Level 3 Sport you will need five Grade 4s, including a 4 in Maths and English Language. Most subjects also have specific grade requirements. These can be found in our online prospectus on the Sixth Form webpages.
This is a chance to discuss A Level options and ask any questions you have about the Sixth Form at Beechen Cliff with the Senior Leadership or Sixth Form Team. These are not formal interviews and do not affect entry to Sixth Form. Boarding interviews, however, are an integral part of the application process. External applicants – Meetings (in person or by phone). Internal applicants – Meetings during the school day.
On results day you will need to log into your Applicaa account and complete your enrolment form by midday. This is how you will share your GCSE grades with us. We will then review all applications and send out final offers by email. This will include the courses we can offer you. Our offer is effectively your enrolment so you must let us know if you decide to study elsewhere.
