Welcome to Morecambe Bay Academy

Our school values ‘Belong, Believe and Achieve’ underpin everything we do. Our close community means that our students are not simply a number to us. We have confidence in you, and we believe in supporting and stretching you to achieve your potential. You will find a ‘can do’ attitude that pervades every aspect of Sixth Form life.

We believe that academic success lies, in part, with matching the right courses to your individual needs, abilities and pathways. Therefore, we offer a wide range of courses, delivering both academic and vocational qualifications, to provide every opportunity for success.

Small class sizes mean that you will feel well-supported throughout your academic journey. You will not ‘get lost in the crowd’ and your teachers will be able to give you the time that you need.

Sixth Form life is not just about academic achievement; we believe in developing the ‘whole student’ and making sure you are ready for life beyond school. We have a dedicated Pastoral Lead for Sixth Form who is there to support you, both with your next steps and any pastoral needs. In addition, the school Careers Advisor works hard to help you find the right pathway.

It really is all those intangible things that make Morecambe Bay Academy Sixth Form so successful. You can call it an ethos or a philosophy, but we just call it the way we do things.

We know that choosing a Sixth Form is an important decision and it is vital that you get it right, so please look through the information on our website and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our Sixth Form fully complies with the requirements of the 16-19 Study Programmes: please click here for further details.
