I am delighted that you are considering us as the place for your future studies. Our Sixth Form is one where students can achieve highly, make good friends, have excellent support and guidance from teaching staff, and take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Your time in the sixth form will challenge you and you will leave with qualifications, skills and experiences that place you in a very strong position for your future. 

The Sixth Form maintains a good academic record and offers a curriculum designed to suit different learners and provide excellent support through pastoral care, careers and with progression into Higher Education, apprenticeships or employment. The sixth form options evening provides a great opportunity to talk with experienced subject staff and existing students and to really get a feel of what we are like. 

Why Study at Blythe Bridge Sixth Form? 

We believe that there are a number of features which make Blythe Bridge Sixth Form a unique and rewarding place to study. Our Sixth Form offers a personalised experience for all of our students whilst maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum offer. We are able to provide a range of qualifications for students on both academic, vocational and combined A Level, BTEC courses or AAQ qualifications, with over 30 different subject choices for our students. 

We recognise the importance placed on active learning and therefore, often have small class sizes to afford staff the ability to nurture yet challenge each individual student. We have a strong belief in enrichment activities and an effective pastoral care system to ensure that we are advancing the moral, social and personal development of all our students. 

I am looking forward to meeting students and their families at our options evening and for you to meet our sixth form team and specialist Post-16 teaching staff.

Left with 10 GCSEs and 3 A levels. Did a BSc degree in Psychology at the University of Birmingham, and a Masters in Child Development at Keele University. Now working in a primary school in Birmingham, supporting children with special educational needs. Advice for current students: “Focus on what is important – your future. Use that motivation to channel into your revision. Take time to do something you enjoy to help you to relax.”
