Ysgol Dinas Brân Sixth Form; a successful and vibrant learning environment where we aim to provide the very best opportunities and pastoral care for all our students.The Sixth Form offers a variety of courses taught by dedicated and highly experienced teachers. The results over the years speak for themselves and we are very proud of the standards we achieve. We have excellent facilities, including a well equipped and newly refurbished Social Centre and a bright and tranquil Learning Zone where students are encouraged to study independently.Classrooms are bright and cheerful throughout the school and ICT facilities are excellent; the school is fully networked and computer suites are available in all curriculum areas. Quite simply, Ysgol Dinas Brân is an exceptional educational environment.There are a vast number of opportunities for students to be involved in team activities, including Charity work and fundraising events, Young Enterprise and Peer Mentoring. These extra-curricular activities provide students with ideal opportunities to grow in confidence, meet new people and further develop the essential skills necessary to succeed in life. Certainly, a strong emphasis is directed towards helping our students to develop as respectable and responsible citizens as well as helping them to achieve their academic potential.Our BTEC qualifications offer students a more vocational package and help to provide students with the skills and opportunities to go on to study at university or begin apprenticeships. All students are encouraged to take the Skills Challenge Certificate qualification. This is an exciting and versatile qualification that adds a valuable new dimension to the subjects and courses already available to students.
