We are delighted to welcome students to our Sixth Form at Glantaf where we offer a wide range of qualifications at Glantaf and through our extensive partnership with Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr and Ysgol Gymareg Bro Edern as part of the BroPlasTaf partnership.Glantaf are extremely proud of our Sixth Form students who contribute extensively to the variety breadth and richness of our school community. They are highly regarded as proactive role models, mentoring younger pupils, providing numeracy and literacy support for pupils in Years 7 and 8 and as Buddies in a caring pastoral support programme. They lead and play a vital role in the School Eisteddfod, in coaching teams and in supporting a wide range of charitable work within the school community.Academically students within the sixth form perform to a very high standard and consistently score high grades right across the ability profile securing places at competitive courses in Higher education institutions across the UK.Students are able to benefit from high quality resources and teaching accommodation, which includes modern ITC facilities, study room and relaxation areas including the sixth form Bistro. Moreover, consistently in pupil voice interviews, students commend the high quality support and guidance they receive from their specialist tutors. Students value the individual interaction and support they receive within each of their individual subjects, whereby they are consistently challenged and encouraged to become mature independent learners.Our aim is to enable students to develop academically, vocationally, personally and socially, and to become mature, responsible, bilingual citizens.Over the years, our Sixth Form students have brought distinction to the school in a wide range of fields.
