Welcome to Newcastle Sixth Form College

Welcome to Newcastle Sixth Form College.

We are the largest Sixth Form College in the region with over 1,350 students and 100 dedicated staff, providing a wide range of A Levels.

At NSFC we are proud to state that we offer an aspirational culture and ethos for our students, with highly focused subject staff, student support services, personal development and learning support provided. This ensures every student has the greatest opportunity to achieve the best outcome from their A Level journey.

We work extremely hard to ensure our students achieve their goals. From the very start of their time at the college we assist every student in their progression onto Higher Education or advanced employment opportunities. We create an academic environment to make sure students feel that they can transition into higher education or degree apprenticeships with ease. Our state of the art facilities provide a university style campus, and our specialist careers development programme gives exceptional access to university choices.

We are a highly inclusive college with a diverse and integrated student body, and place a huge value on both our Respect Ethos, and also our parental engagement. This approach means that students at Newcastle Sixth Form College enjoy the opportunity to study and socialise within a positive welcoming site.

Finally, we are keen to add value at every opportunity at Newcastle Sixth Form College. From our huge programme of enrichment activities to our wider curriculum activities, Duke of Edinburgh and World Challenge activities, we ensure that our students gain the numerous opportunities not offered in other educational settings. Studying A Levels is a significant undertaking for any young person and we have created a support framework, which led to our best ever results and progression rates in 2022.

I hope to see you at one of our monthly Open Events and look forward to you joining us on your A Level journey.

Enrichment Activities

Besides the excellent teaching and first class facilities, I really enjoy the extra-curricular activities the College has to offer. Let’s take a Wednesday afternoon for instance; there is a great enrichment programme running where each student is off timetable to partake in an activity of their choice. This can be almost anything ranging from art and crafts to joining a sports team or even learning a new language!
