Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
At St John’s Sixth Form, students benefit from a rich and diverse extra-curricular programme designed to broaden their horizons, build confidence and develop essential life skills. Alongside their academic studies, all Sixth Form students take part in a timetabled enrichment programme each week, offering a wide range of engaging activities such as PE, Art and Craft, DIY Skills, First Aid, Cooking Skills, Finance Skills and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. These opportunities allow students to discover new talents, gain practical experience and develop resilience, independence and teamwork. Beyond the weekly enrichment timetable, students also have full access to the school’s extensive extra-curricular offer. From sports teams and performing arts to subject clubs, competitions and community service, the programme is designed to inspire students to challenge themselves and pursue their passions. Sixth Form students are not only encouraged to participate, but are also invited to take on leadership roles—organising clubs, supporting younger students and contributing to whole-school events. This experience helps them develop confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility, all of which are highly valued by universities and employers. With a combination of structured enrichment opportunities and a vibrant wider programme, St John’s Sixth Form ensures that every student is supported to grow both academically and personally. Our aim is to help students leave St John’s as well-rounded, capable and confident young adults, ready to thrive in the next stage of their journey.
