Physics

Course summary

Students will develop a range of skills including problem solving, planning, communication, data acquisition and analysis. The course aims to give students a wide overview of modern physics and its relevance to society. There is an emphasis on practical skills and ‘How Science Works’. Practical work is used to support and extend student understanding of the key concepts covered within lessons. Practical skills will be assessed within the written examinations. There is also an internally assessed Practical Endorsement which is reported separately.
