Assessment

Theory Content (70%) This part of the course is delivered through six distinct topic areas; • Applied Anatomy & Physiology • Exercise Physiology • Biomechanical Movement • Skill Acquisition • Sports Psychology • Sport & Society and the Role of Technology This element of the course will be assessed through two exam papers which will be sat at the end of year 13. Non-Examined Assessment (30%) Students are provided with an opportunity to utilize their expertise in a sporting environment. Students are assessed as a performers or coach in the full-sided version of one activity. Through coursework, students analyse and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in competitive sports.
