Assessment

The Diploma is equivalent in size to 2 A Levels on successful completion of 8 varied units (3 externally and 5 internally assessed) and the National Extended Certificate is equivalent in size to 1 A Level on successful completion of 4 units (2 externally and 2 internally assessed), which are mapped against a number of exciting projects/ commissions. The externally assessed units are set and completed during an extended or a defined window before being assessed by the examination board (usually December to June in Year 13). All work must be submitted to meet strict deadlines. Assessments will take place upon the completion of each project. At the end of the course, grades for each course are added together to calculate a cumulative grade.
