Why should I choose this subject? • I enjoy art and practical activity. • I want to get involved in projects where I will be given ‘live’ briefs that will prepare me for the world of work. What will I study? You will develop a wide understanding of art and design related skills and knowledge over the two year course and will be expected to work more independently by carrying out self-directed independent study in the following areas. • Experimentation with a wide range of drawing, painting, print, crafts, 2D/3D, graphics, new media and fashion/ textiles techniques. • Working with artists and designers. • Interpreting a brief to produce a personal response. • Presentation skills.
