Course summary

This course begins with an introduction designed to build on and develop students’ recording skills and demonstrate skilful use of the formal elements, including line, tone, colour, shape, pattern, texture, form and structure. In developing these skills, students will experiment with a wide range of media and methods, learning how to transform materials in order to reflect the different qualities of their observed forms and images. Unit 1 – Based on the internally set theme. 2nd year course description Unit 1 continuation - Includes a 1500 word essay. Unit 2 - Externally set theme by the Exam Board.
