Course summary
This course will enable learners to demonstrate an understanding of the science of food, food safety, nutrition and nutritional needs in a wide range of contexts. Students will learn about the current issues affecting food science and nutrition. Through ongoing practical sessions, students will build on the culinary skills learnt at GCSE so they can produce high-quality food items to meet the needs of a range of individuals.
