Course summary

Chemists have greatly improved the quality of life for the majority of people. The A Level course is underpinned by the practical skills that we call ‘How Science Works’. You also find out how chemists are real innovators, designing solutions to the problems that affect modern life. The course is designed to encourage students to develop enthusiasm for chemistry, learn practical skills alongside an understanding of concepts and principles and build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills for studying chemistry in Higher Education. The course is delivered in laboratories where a range of practical activities take place and is taught by two subject specialist teachers.
