Paper 1; Modern Play and Shakespeare- 30% of A level mark Written examination 2.15 hr. Paper 2; Prose – comparing novels pre and post 1900- 20% of total A level mark Written examination 1.15 hr. Paper 3; Poetry – cluster of poetry and unseen poetry- 30% of total A level mark Written examination 2.15 hr. Coursework-20% of total A level mark Pupils produce a piece of coursework 2500 words comparing texts.
