The Film A level is assessed by 2 written examinations and one non examined piece of coursework. Component One: Hollywood 1930 – 1990 and a contemporary American independent film (2h 30m exam 35% of the A level) Component Two: British film comparative study and a non-English language European film (2h 30 exam 35% of the A level) Component Three Coursework: - Either a short film, or a screenplay plus a digitally photographed story board - An evaluative analysis (1600 – 1800 words)
