Course summary

The health and social care sector covers a large range of occupations and professions. Through your Health and Social Care course you will become aware of the variety of opportunities that a qualification in this subject may lead on to. Level 3 qualifications are designed to provide highly specialist work-related qualifications. Over the course, you will study a range of units that will contribute to your learning and understanding of the health and social care sector. These will be covered in depth to allow you to demonstrate and develop a range of practical and research skills that will enable you to complete a range of tasks. During the course you will have the opportunity to study a number of units covering aspects of Health and Social Care, including human lifespan development, working in Health and Social Care, principles of safe practice in Health and Social Care and promoting public health.
