Course summary
With a global audience at your fingertips, Media looks at what is available, how it is developed, created and gives you the opportunity to create your own media products. This course leads to practical and creative skills that transfer into the workplace. Unit choices cover a range of media including print, web, radio, television, film, animation and gaming. Media Products and Audiences – The why, who and what people purchase. How we make people buy media products and the study of how they develop. Pre-Production and Planning – a practical exam that looks at scriptwriting, moodboards, strategies and costings for projects. Classroom taught lessons. Advertising projects within and outside of Cedars School, creating multimedia portfolios including shorts, scripts, audio production and graphics for publishing.
