Course summary

If you have an interest in other people’s lives, attitudes and behaviour, and are open to having your own ideas challenged or challenging the ideas of others, this course could be for you. You will analyse modern society, critically assess different views on the way society works, and explore themes of socialisation, culture and identity, social differentiation, and power and stratification. For this exam-based course, which combines well with business and humanities such as law and history, you need an open, enquiring mind.
