• Physical Geography 2hrs 30 mins exam Marked out of 96. 40% of A Level Students are able to study in depth the physical processes at work through coasts, the water and carbon cycle and natural hazards. The course examines how these dynamic environments create new landforms and also how people can manage their effects. There is a clear link between A Level Biology in this unit. • Human Geography 2hrs 30mins exam Marked out of 96. 40% of A Level Students are able to gain a valuable understanding of global systems and governance. Students will study how places change over time and how dynamic forces of urbanization are changing our world. The unit then moves to look at how people need to manage carefully the resources in our world. • Geographical Investigation 3000 - 4000 words Marked out of 30. 20% of A Level. This unit gives students the chance to study one area of their course in detail and collect a variety of data to answer a key investigation question. This data will be collected on a field trip and then consolidated back in the classroom. Students will have time in lessons to work on this detailed and important investigation.
