Assessment
There are a number of different types of assessment throughout the course: Examinations – standardised assessments where all learners participate simultaneously, typically producing written responses. Set Tasks – learners complete these assessments within a specified timeframe by demonstrating their comprehension through practical vocational tasks. Certain external assessments involve a preparation phase using provided information. There are four units in total over the course of two years, of which two undergo external assessment through written examinations, while the remaining two are subject to internal assessment through coursework. In year 12, Units 1 and 2 are assessed, each contributing 25% to the total grade. In year 13, Units 3 (33% of the total grade) and 8 (17% of the total grade) are assessed.
