Course summary
Computer Science is highly relevant to the modern and changing world of computing and technology. The skills that you will develop through studying Computer Science, such as problem solving and analytical thinking, are highly valued by universities and employers. There is a heavy focus on programming, and this will build on the skills that you have developed as a result of studying the subject at GCSE. The A-Level, as well as being highly practical, will also give you the opportunity to be intensely creative. The nature of the qualification means that you are able to tailor the programming project to areas of your own personal interest, which makes the whole process more engaging and ultimately rewarding.
