Assessment

The examinations consist of a combination of multiple choice, short answer questions, questions with scenarios requiring students to apply their knowledge of the topic and extended writing (essay-style) questions. The A level course is examined in its entirety at the end of the second year of study (if students sit the AS examination and continue to sit the A level examination, their marks for the AS do not count and the A level is a terminally examined course). In addition to the examinations, student progress is assessed regularly throughout the course.
