Course summary

The world in which we live is likely to change more in the next 50 years than it has ever done before. For those interested, geography explains why and helps to prepare you for those changes. Geography is a diverse and dynamic subject. You will develop a wide range of skills such as teamwork, problem solving, decision making, data handling, communication and use of IT. It is an effective bridge between the sciences, mathematics and humanities. The course offers a broad range of topic areas and so this course should appeal to those students who are interested in both Human and Physical Geography. Geography is particularly well suited to those who love finding out about new people, places and landscapes and those who want the opportunity to do fieldwork as well as classwork.
