Assessment

Lessons will be based on theory and case studies which illustrate key themes and theories. Some lessons towards the end of year 12 will be dedicated to support you in your geographical investigations. You will be taught by experienced teachers. In support of the teaching and learning in class you will be expected to complete homework and additional reading around the topic. Each topic will be assessed by an end of unit key assessment. The final examination consists of 1 paper for Physical Geography and 1 paper for Human Geography assessing knowledge from the whole course, each examination is worth 40% of the overall grade. The Geographical Investigation report is worth 20% of the overall grade which is internally marked (non-examined).
