Assessment

The majority of the work for the project is independent research, but the project co-ordinator will also provide a programme of lessons on research skills, report writing, referencing and presentation skills. You will also be offered one-to-one appointments with the project co-ordinator and relevant subject specific teachers. You will be assessed on your ability to manage, use resources, develop and realise and review your project. These skills will be evidenced in the project activity log, the written report and the presentation. The project is internally assessed by the project co-ordinator and externally moderated by the exam board. The Extended Project is graded A* to E and is equivalent to half an A level.
