Biology

Course summary

During the course eight topics in Biology are studied ranging from the structure of the cell and cell components to how genetic information is produced and passed on through individuals and populations. Students are assessed on twelve key practicals and must be able to demonstrate not only scientific but practical, mathematical and literacy skills through their studies. Students who are interested in the detail of how living organisms work and who are willing to learn new vocabulary and principles quickly. Students who enjoy carrying out investigations in the lab or as field work.
