Assessment

Your apprentice training is delivered through a mix of college-based training and work-based assessment which is pre-planned and flexible enough to fit alongside your business needs. The training includes: • The apprentice will attend college for day release at our Lichfield or Tamworth campus working to achieve AAT’s Advanced Diploma in Accounting qualification. • Our Assessors will visit your workplace to observe your employee undertaking their normal on-the-job duties, and from this a work-based assessment will be made. In conjunction with you and your apprentice, the Assessor will develop an action plan to show what units are being studied, what evidence needs to be prepared, as well as the time and date of the Assessors visits. • Functional Skills (if required) – College attendance is necessary for individual learners, but in-company delivery is available for groups of learners. The End Point Assessment has two elements: • An online assessment, where you’ll tackle a series of business-related tasks through simulation in line with typical role activities. • Submission of a portfolio of evidence gathered from the workplace. You must then reflect on the portfolio through a professional discussion.
