Assessment

A level is a two-year course. The Personal Portfolio is worth 60% and the Externally Set Assignment (ESA) is worth 40% of your total mark. Each assignment consists of two parts: 1. Preparatory Supporting Studies - You are expected to complete an annotated sketchbook displaying your prep work. For your Personal Portfolio, you will also complete a 3000-word personal study linked to your coursework artists. 2. Final Piece – a personal and meaningful response that realizes intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
