Component 1: Performance and Choreography (practical exam with a visiting examiner) - Solo performance linked to a specified practitioner within an area of study. The practitioners you will study will be Richard Alston and Christopher Bruce. You will encapsulate the stylistic features of the chosen practitioner for a solo performance. - Performance in a quartet. - Group choreography. You will receive an exam paper in the September of Year 13 where you will have four set choreography questions to choose from, and implement all the choreographic skills you have learnt throughout the course to answer your chosen question to create a coherent piece. Component 2: Critical engagement (written exam): Section A: short answer questions on the set work: Rooster. Section B: essay question based on the Rambert Dance Company 1966-2002. Section C: essay question based on Modern Dance in Britain 2002-present day. Section D: essay question based on the set work: Sutra.
