What will I learn on this course? ● How to read intelligently and critically – by the end, you will be an informed, independent reader, confident to read all kinds of different literature and able to share your views skilfully. ● How to think analytically, evaluatively and reflectively. ● Knowledge and understanding of the breadth of writing in English (and in translation) – everything from the Middle Ages to the latest Booker Prize winning novel. ● How to write successfully – demonstrating an ability to formulate sophisticated arguments and articulate them in a perceptive, well-structured and developed manner.
