Assessment

The course is assessed through a combination of examinations, formal tasks set by the exam board, and coursework which involves the creation of research evidence assignments. Students will complete four units in total; two of which are assignment-based. Unit 1: Human Life Span Development - External written exam completed in Year 12. Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care - External written exam completed in Year 12. Coursework: Unit 5: Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs - Internally assessed assignment. Unit 12: Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs - Internally assessed assignment. All Coursework is completed in Year 13.
