Course summary

All universities recognise the value of Philosophy and Ethics A level. Assessment is part of the course structure to enable you to further develop your skills to think openly and clearly whilst you construct rational arguments and write good essays. You will study 3 modules in the course and the mode of assessment is 100% examination in the form of three external exams sat at the end of A2. The topics for this course can be seen below and we have developed resources for this course to support learners of a varied range of confidence so those that have not studied RS at GCSE will still be able to excel at A level Philosophy. Internally, you will be assessed by essay for each of the different topics as the course progresses. We build in both challenge and scaffolded support for your learning to develop you both academically and in your confidence as the course progresses.
