Government and politics of the USA and comparative politics. Where does power lie in the US? What are the powers of the President, Congress and Supreme Court? How do the US make laws and bring about change in the US? What are the similarities and differences of the UK and US political system? Political ideas: What is an ideology? What do they mean? What are the positive and negative aspects of these ideologies? (Conservatism, liberalism, socialism and a choice of nationalism, feminism, multiculturalism, anarchism, ecologism).
