Core Maths (Level 3 Certificate in Mathematical Studies) Core Maths is a Level 3 qualification equivalent to half an A Level (AS Level). It is designed to give students a practical “maths for life” education and to support the mathematical skills needed in other subjects such as science, geography, psychology, business, and health studies. This course is ideal for anyone who has achieved at least a grade 4 in GCSE Maths and wants to continue developing their maths without taking A Level Mathematics.
