Assessment

Assessment: Assessment is through a combination of written exams and coursework. The final grade is based on: Three exam papers testing prose, drama, and poetry (worth 80% of the A Level). Coursework (worth 20%), which allows you to explore your own literary interests in depth. This course builds your ability to read deeply, write effectively, and express complex ideas with clarity — skills that are highly valued in university and future careers in law, journalism, education, publishing, creative writing, and media.
