CyberEPQ (Extended Project Qualification in Cyber Security) The CyberEPQ is a Level 3 qualification worth up to 28 UCAS points — equivalent to an AS Level. It gives students the opportunity to explore the fast-growing world of cyber security, developing valuable skills for university, apprenticeships, and future careers in technology. The course is divided into three phases: Phase 1: Complete nine online learning modules covering key topics in cyber security and the latest industry techniques. Phase 2: Propose and plan your independent project, choosing a cyber-related area that interests you. Phase 3: Carry out your project, researching your chosen topic in depth, writing an extended essay, and delivering a presentation. The CyberEPQ is designed to fit around your existing timetable, making it a flexible option to study alongside A Levels, T Levels, or BTECs. By completing the qualification, students gain UCAS points, recognised industry knowledge, and entry into the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) — providing a valuable professional link for those aiming to progress into cyber security, computing, or other digital careers.
