Business - A Level

Course summary

Business A Level focuses on problem-solving, decision-making and developing a range of business skills. Students will gain an understanding of business in a range of contexts. They will develop an understanding of organisations and their ability to meet society’s needs and wants, whilst being aware of the ethical dilemmas and responsibilities faced by organisations and individuals. Business behaviour is studied from a range of perspectives and students are encouraged to generate enterprising and creative approaches to business opportunities, problems and issues. Students will acquire a range of relevant business skills, challenging assumptions and critical analysis together with the ability to apply numerical skills in a range of business contexts. Independent study commitment: Five hours per week minimum.
