Assessment

AQA A-Level Physics is assessed through three written exams: Paper 1: Covers topics such as particle physics, mechanics, and materials. Paper 2: Focuses on electricity, waves, and fields. Paper 3: Assesses practical skills, data analysis, and the investigation of experimental work, including questions on practical techniques and the application of practical knowledge. Practical skills are also assessed throughout the course, and students must complete a set of required practical activities. These contribute to the practical endorsement, which is a separate pass/fail assessment. There is no coursework component.
