EPQ

Course summary

The Extended Project Qualification is taken alongside A-Levels that allows students to complete an independent research project on a topic of their choice. The EPQ is equivalent to half an A-Level, worth up to 28 UCAS points for an A* grade, and helps develop skills valuable for university, such as research, analysis, and independent learning.  It can also result in lower offers from universities. The best thing about an EPQ is that you can choose your topic and project title. As long as your topic and title give you enough to talk about in an ‘academic’ style, you can do whatever you want. Students taking 3 A levels will all be automatically enrolled onto the EPQ.
