Assessment

There are three externally assessed core units followed by all pathways: Unit 1 – Preparing to work in the Performing Arts Sector: Unit 2 – Proposal for a Commission Brief Unit 3 – Influential Performance Practice There are several internally assessed optional units, depending on the pathway: Acting – technique, combined arts, devising theatre, performing scripted plays, directing Dance – technique, chorography, leading workshops, combined arts Music – composition, performance, improvisation, music technology, combined arts Musical theatre – acting technique, dance technique, singing technique Design / Technical – lighting, set, costume, stage management, combined arts
