Extra-curricular

At Ormiston Rivers Sixth Form we strive to offer a wide ranging and enriching education to our students. Alongside a strong academic programme of study, the development of our young people as aspirational, independent, resilient and respectful individuals is of upmost importance. In today’s world it is essential that students are given training and opportunities to develop their transferable skills and leadership potential, to allow them to take their next steps and transition into healthy, happy and successful adults.

In order to support this development, students partake in the enrichment reward scheme. This scheme recognises students’ efforts and supports them to acquire a portfolio of evidence to support their future applications. This includes extending knowledge within a subject area of interest to show commitment towards a career pathway of choice and to expand on their academic subject studies, and a focus on developing leadership and transferable skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving, to demonstrate skills employers and universities value.
